 Day 1 Begin Your Tour • Arrive Rome

Welcome to your ‘Cox and Kings Italian Escape’ tour. Transfer to your hotel on your own. Check in after 1400 hrs.

Welcome to Italy, one of the oldest civilizations of the world and a perfect blend of the classic and contemporary !

Meet your Tour Manager and travelling companions in a welcome meeting in the hotel lobby at 6.30 p.m. (D)

 Day 2 In Rome • Visit The Time Elevator • Visit The Vatican • Guided Panoramic City Tour Of Rome

This morning enjoy an optional tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. In the afternoon you have a guided panoramic city tour !

‘Rome was not built in a day’- the truth of this oft quoted adage hits you with full force, as we pack in all the ‘must see’ agenda into our tour. Start with a journey on the 4 dimensional Time Elevator. Then onto The Vatican, The famous square of The Vatican is St. Peter’s Square with St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the largest churches in the world. Gaze in awe at Michelangelo’s Pieta. Your introduction to Rome starts at the Arch of Constantine, one of the most important commemorative monuments of antiquity. Tribute is paid to the brave Gladiators of Rome, as you pass the mighty Colosseum. Drive through Piazza Venezia, where the monument to the reunification is referred to as the Marble wedding cake !

Pass the Circus Maximus - known for its ancient chariot races, which was reconstructed for 'Ben Hur' !

Pass the ruins of the Roman Forum and end the tour at the famous Trevi Fountain. Legend has it, that if you make a wish and toss a coin over your left shoulder into the fountain, you are sure to return to Rome!

 Day 3 Full day excursion to Capri and the Blue Grotto

Enjoy a full-day excursion to Capri with its Blue Grotto and the picturesque mediterranean - style village of Anacapri. Overnight in Rome. (B, D)

 Day 4 Onto Venice

Today, travel into the romantic city of Venice. The day is free for you to explore the city. Overnight in Venice. (B, D) 

Day 5 In Venice • Visit Venice

The captivating canals and palaces of Venice are simply unique! Built on 117 small islands, it is a pedestrian’s city, so get set for a walking tour.

Cruise from Tronchetto Pier and glide romantically past fairytale palaces, to the Piazza San Marco (St. Marks Square), where you disembark. 

From there to the Doge’s Palace, connected by the ‘Bridge of Sighs’ to its prisons. End this exciting tour with a brief visit to a Murano Glass Factory for a demonstration of hand blown world famous Venetian glass. (B, D)

 Day 6 Onto Florence • Optional Visit to Pisa

Today arrive into Florence, the birthplace of the renaissance. In the afternoon enjoy an optional excursion to Pisa, a city, which makes the most of its claim to fame the Leaning Tower !

At a photo stop, note its striking beauty along with its characteristic tilt. It is the Cathedral’s Bell Tower. Overnight in Florence. (B, D)

 Day 7 In Florence • Walking tour of Florence • Visit Piazalle Michaelangelo

Included in your walking tour of Florence is a visit to the Duomo (when open for visitors), the fourth largest cathedral in the world. Besides it is the ‘Gate to Paradise’. Walk to the open-air gallery in Signoria Square and the famous Ponte Vecchio. Stop at the Piazalle Michaelangelo for a stunning overview of the city before you drive to your hotel in Rome (B, D)

 Day 8 Homeward Bound
