On most trains, making reservations is not necessary. However, although a Eurail Pass  may entitle you to train travel, the Pass does not guarantee you a seat.To obtain guaranteed accommodation on a long-distance train, we recommend you to make a reservation. A reservation will ensure that you have accommodation in a certain train, on a certain day and at a certain time. Seat reservations will cost you a small extra charge of between 4 USD and 11 USD if you book at the local ticket window.You can book your seat reservations up to 60 days before your actual trip. Please note that some trains also require a supplement. In this supplement the reservation fee is included.Eurail is a cooperation of 26 European Railway companies and shipping lines.
